Our vision

Our vision back in early 2009 was to create and develop The Dream Show as an ongoing, continually expanding, free resource designed to help people acquire the skills they need to gain deep self-understanding and healing through working with their dreams.

2009-late 2024

During our first 15 years, most episodes featured anonymous guests who brought a dream for us to explore. We believed anonymity encouraged guests to open up about their dreams and their lives. Other episodes featured entertaining, educational, and inspirational information about how to understand dreams and apply dream alchemy to create meaningful positive change. From the beginning, my  husband, Michael Collins, learned the ropes and did the sound editing. We were in it together. His legacy endures. After a long illness, Michael died in October 2024.

2025

As we approached 16 years of podcasting, I decided to introduce some changes. Instead of anonymous guests, I decided to invite ‘known’ people onto the show. It’s a podcast conversation with a difference: my guests bring a dream for us to explore and interpret before we springboard into wherever the muse takes us.

I also introduced the INTERLUDE podcasts: short (less than ten minute) podcasts where I share dream interpretation tips and stories. These are published at the halfway point between our long-form one-hour episodes. So there’s something to listen to every two weeks.

My son, musician, producer, writer, and coach, Euan Gray, composed our new theme music to celebrate the changes. Euan also stepped in as Sound Editor for ep 289 onwards, keeping the show in the family.

Reception

We are in the top 5% of podcasts worldwide.

I know, from emails I receive, that many of our listeners are in hardship, and have found this resource helpful in finding new and rewarding ways to meet challenges and enjoy fresh and practical perspectives through understanding their dreams.

I also know, from emails I receive, that many of our regular listeners use the resource for deep study, both of the self, and of the art, science, and practice, of dream analysis and dream therapy.

This whole body of work is also a valuable, freely accessible, in-depth resource for practitioners and therapists worldwide.

We celebrated 15 years (and 279 episodes) in May 2024 and we continue to build the resource with the addition of a new episode every four weeks, and an Interlude podcast between episodes.

Thousands of hours of preparation and production, as well as financial resources, have been dedicated to creating, developing, building, and maintaining this entire podcast collection, and this input is ongoing.
